HOW TO JOIN

Full Membership Requirements:

In order for a LSUS student to become an initiate, this person must meet the following criteria:

Must be a student enrolled at LSUS
Must complete at least two semesters of preprofessional health work at LSUS
Must have an cumulative GPA of 3.2
Must have science GPA of 3.2
Must be in good standing with the chapter and LSUS
Must be approved by the Pre-med advisor

If you meet these criteria you are eligible to apply for membership. Becoming a member is basically a two part process. First you need to submit an application to the organization. If you are approved, you will be invited to become an initiate. All initiates then go through a series of educational meetings to orient them with the organization and how it works.

The AED eApplication for Fall 2007 must be submitted no later than Friday, October 5, 2007 by 3:00 pm to Dr. Tara Williams-Hart via e-mail only. Please send your packet to tara.williams-hart@lsus.edu from your LSUS email account.

Associate Membership Requirements:

There are only two requirements for this type of membership. The deadline for Associate Member applications and dues is Friday, September 28th at 4:30 PM to Dr. Hart.

Complete Associate Membership Form
Pay $25.00 Associate Membership dues.

The Benefits of this type of membership include:

Attend AED private seminars scheduled throughout year that only AED members can attend.
Associate members can still participate in all of our public service volunteer activities. This will allow the Associate member to accumulate volunteer hours that Medical Schools require.
